Tomorrow is Groundhog Day

I never truly understood the significance of Groundhog Day. But, as I understand it, tomorrow is Groundhog Day. All I know is that it should somehow signal how soon the cold spell will end. Well, all I know is that it is too cold, even here in Orlando and I can’t wait for a heatwave to strike! A nice warm day in the 40’s would be great. For those of you metrically impaired, 40 degrees Celsius is about 104 degrees in the American thermometer.

Yes, I’m cold, more like freezing and I want it to be hot.

Yes, I know its only about 10 degrees (50 American) in Orlando but it’s still cold, at least for me.

But as some of you who read my blog post yesterday know, I’m in the middle of a project I’m trying to complete, so today’s blog post is about nothing, well, not nothing, but the cold spell and that I don’t understand what Groundhog Day is.

Yes, this is pretty much a lazy post.

On Sunday, I’ve got a new RumpToons cartoon for your pleasure.

On Monday, I’ve got a new Border Mic podcast that I’m sure is going to boil the blood in some of you. It has to do with assimilation in America.

So, have a great weekend and stay warm.

Oh, and enjoy the Super Bowl, it’ll be great so long as Tom Brady loses on Sunday.

  1. Groundhog Day has been celebrated for centuries as Candlemas and Imbolc. Must be something about the day. Martin, it’s been beautiful here in the 60s; nicest time of year IMO.
