If you believe Donald Trump, American voters love the war against immigrants he has unleashed. Trump tells everyone that building the wall is what America wants. Trump also says that putting immigrant children in cages is what the country demands. Trump says many dubious things.
“In my 34 years, I’ve never seen such hate toward a law enforcement agency in my life,” said Tom Homan, the former director of ICE.
As you can see, America doesn’t support the war on immigrants unleashed by Trump. Homan is not a liberal trying to score political points. Homan is not an immigrant. He is not a Democrat.
Homan is the former Acting Director of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. He directed ICE from January 30, 2017 and June 29, 2018.
Clearly America does not support ICE. Tom Homan told you that through the House Subcommittee on Civil Rights and Civil Liberties last week.
So clearly, America hates ICE.
American voters are generally politically passive who seldom engage in overt activism.
So why does the former director of ICE state that he has “never seen such hate” towards ICE?
The reason is simple. Americans understand that using a law enforcement agency to terrorize, demonize and attack immigrants is wrong.
As you can see, Americans do not want Donald Trump to continue his war upon immigrants.
