Super Tuesday 2020

Today is Super Tuesday. There are 1,344 delegates up for grabs for those seeking the Democratic Party nomination. The 14 states voting today, include California’s 415 delegates and Texas’ 228 delegates. By the time the dust settles, the five, or six (if we count Mike Bloomberg as viable) Democratic Party pretenders will be whittled down to the likely two or three remaining candidates.

The likely winners will be Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders.

But, Pete Buttigieg, Amy Klobuchar or Elizabeth Warren may surprise many.

Mike Bloomberg, on the other hand, may prove that money can buy a nomination.

By tomorrow, the November elections will become clearer.

For Bernie Sanders, the outcome may prove that he can mobilize voters to vote for him. For Joe Biden, his ability to remain viable rests on tonight’s outcome.

As for the unlikely candidate, Pete Buttigieg, he may end up surprising everyone when the last vote is counted.

The delegate count stands at 56 for Bernie Sanders, 48 for Joe Biden, 26 for Pete Buttigieg, eight for Elizabeth Warren and seven for Amy Klobuchar. When the last vote is cast, 1,344 delegates will be assigned by the electorate.
